°°The key purpose of an elbow is to change direction of flow in a piping system. However, elbow are divided into three categories, which defines the distance where they can change direction, which is expressed as a function of the distance from the centre line of one end to the opposite end.
Elbows is a fitting device which is bent in such a way to produce 90 degree change in the direction of flow in the pipe. An elbow is also called a “quarter bend” and it used to change the direction of pipe.
Moreover, stainless 90 degree elbow( it is also known as “ข้อศอก 90 องศาสแตนเลส“ in the thai language) is divided as Long Radius, Short Radius and Extra Long Radius:-

Long Radius: The most common is long radius elbow where the center to face dimensions alsways 1.5 times the nominal pipe size of the elbow.
Short Radius: In this case, elbows have a center to face dimension of 1 diameter and widely used in small areas.
